I got my “Florida Fix” today….I went to Weeki Wachee River, rented a small boat, and got my “yaya’s in the wawa” in beautiful cool “blue lagoon” spring water today!
It wasn’t long after going up river, that I spied a Manatee eating the vegetation (pic 4), I swam up to it and was able to pet it! They are soooo sweet! I was able to get a good pic of it as it swam away too (pic 3).
People on this river are eccentric, friendly and funny….one boater had a gator tailing them! No not a real one, but it looked real! Later they banked their boats next to me and their son proved to be the prankster…he had a big spider tied to fishing line, ran it up through a tree and waited….when boaters would pass, they would be fascinated with the fake gator, while he lowered the spider and scared them to the point of one lady trying to jump off her boat! It was too funny to watch! (pics 5, 6 &7)
The remaining pics are pretty shots of the river, and yep one of my foot so you could see how crystal clear the water is….see….I was thinking of ya! lol!
I’m thinking maybe I lost my calling and should have been a tour guide….
